Starting at 7.00pm on Nelson Way (Junction with Colbourne Ave), Nelson Industrial Estate, Cramlington. This 10 mile Club Time Trial is open to all riders aged 12 and above.
Event Info
Another very windy day which made it very hard coming back from the turn. It made no difference, however, to the front runners. Again it was Colin Humphrey of Sports cover who prevailed, only slowing 40 secs or so from his last ride prior to racing across America in 5 and a half days with his Sports Cover team mates. They only missed the ouright record by 5 minutes!!!
It did not slow him much as he still beat the second man Harry Walker, Swift Cycles by 53 secs in 21.45
Third was a newcomer to the event, his second, I Elliott of Harrogate Nova, who has moved into the area for his work. He was only 1 second slower than Harry with 21.46. This is an improvement of 13 secs of his ride of two weeks ago. A definite one to watch.
