Fancy a hilly 100 miler?

Barnesbury member Gordon Johnson is organising a 100 mile end of season ride, which will be taking in an impressive and hilly route from Hexham on Saturday 24th September.

Riders will be meeting at 7.00 AM on the 24th September at the riverside car park in Hexham. They will be leaving at 7.30AM and following a route that includes: Hexham, Alston, Hartside, Melmerby (Lunch Stop Village Team Room best Bacon Butties in the North!), Brough, Middleton in Teesdale, Stanhope (Crawleyside Bank regroup at Parkhead Cafe), Blanchland and then back to Hexham.

Distance: 100.40miles
Estimated Time: 10 hours (including cafe stops)
Total Ascent: 8048 ft
Maximum Elevation: 1881 ft

Everyone is welcome, and the expected pace will average around 14mph (bear in mind there are some big hills!). For more information, please contact us via the contact page on the website.
