A new race series between local clubs has been established. The races are an ideal opportunity to try new or different aspects of cycle sport. After being initially coached by the cluster club coaches, riders will then compete against each other for points. Every rider competing will score points for their club tally. The winner of the cup will be the club with the most points after the 4 rounds. Each season will see the trophy awarded (4 times per year). The Cluster Cup – Summer is made up of the following events:
15th June Cycle Speedway @ Newcastle Speedway Club, Cramlington
23rd June MTB @ Tyneside Vagabonds, Ponteland
13th July Grass Track @ Newcastle Pheonix, Scotswood
24th August MTB Enduro @ Barnesbury CC, Gallagher Park
To ensure the Barnesbury does well, we are urging all our youngsters to attend the dates to enable the club to score as many points as possible. Entry to the events will be on the day only, so their is no need to pre enter. Further details are available from the british cycling website or our club coaches.
