On Sunday 6th October 2013 the Barnesbury CC will hold its annual club ride. The "Presidents Run" will be hosted by our current President Jim Allen and set off from this year from Dinnington Village Hall (please note a change of venue). Please arrive at 0945 for a 1000 ride to Sandhoe (Corbridge area). Riding at a steady pace so all our members can take part we will ride through Stamfordham to collect members meeting there at about 1045. Arriving at Sandhoe we will hold our freewheel downhill competition, then our annual Hill Climb on the fearsome Fawcetts Hill, before going onto have lunch in Accomb village hall. As it is our 90th anniversary the club will be providing a free lunch to all our members. Regardless of how long you have been a member you will be made to feel very welcome on our ride. The ride back will be an unofficial race back for those who can and a grovel for those who can’t!!! We will ensure new members don’t get lost though.
