The Barnesbury CC have been awarded £3974 by the Community Foundation to help the club develop activity at Gallagher Park in the new building. The money will be used to purchase a range of static trainers including turbo's and rollers, as well as a new lightweight pop up tent. Brilliant news for our BMX Race Team so we can have better mobile facilities at races. Stephen McIntosh said "this will not only help our riders across disciplines train throughout the winter and develop our turbo Wednesday night sessions, but it will allow our BMX race team a higher profile at events the length and breadth of the country. The club will also be able to purchase a tool kit to allow volunteers to teach basic skills to our younger riders to help them maintain their own bikes".
The items will be purchased as soon as the building is open which is expected to be at the end of August 2016.
